As I approach a busy weekend....

I am getting so extremely excited about my cousin Jordan's wedding tonight!! I am excited to see what his wifey-to-be has done with their wedding and maybe it will give me some inspiration!
Can you tell I am not very creative......let me ask you all my blogger friends...what would you do for your wedding? How would you decorate? For those of you married what have you done or what would you do different? :) Interested to hear what you all say!
I hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!! I will be back on Monday to report how everything was and with pictures hopefully!

Oh, Leigh, Leigh, Leigh...my wedding...where should I start. No, just kidding. I would say to you- do not worry about etiquettes etc etc- it is your day, do whatever the heck you want! But of course, I am partial to fall time and pumpkin, hay bails, and roasting marshmellows. But, ya know, thats just me! I doubt it will be suitable for a summer time wedding. It will be the best day of your life (until you have a baby) so have fun planinng and enjoy the big day!

Oh girl...I LOVED planning my wedding!!! I LOVED that I had a strict budget and I LOVED finding great deals. That might sound crazy that I loved having a strict budget, but you will hear people say all the time that you can't have a beautiful wedding for less than a certain amount. Just to give you an idea since you were at our wedding. Our budget was $5000. A big suggestion I have is don't underestimate the power of friends and family. My uncle did my entire reception!! If you just ask people to be involved it will surprise you of their skills and what they are willing to offer you on your big day. I agree with Elena on the whole etiquette thing. Don't let people tell you how it's 'supposed' to be done because it doesn't matter! The fact that Shelley got married 7 months before me, my family was practically in wedding mode for 2 years straight. We used some of the same vases and stuff for both of our weddings, but the overall atmosphere and setting were completely different!! I say look at a lot of pictures online and find something you like and try to re-create it. Sometimes I just think about how much fun it was to plan my wedding and I ask Gary all the time if he wants to marry me again just so I can plan the event:). Good luck!!!

I have enjoyed planning my wedding so very much. Yellow and blue are my colors. I am going to do a lot more of a modern style and very whimsy so that it is fun and lite! I want to be happy and people to have a great time! I am not yet married so I have no regrets.
